Red Bull Music Festival 2018

About

For the first time, Red Bull Music is bringing together the Montreal and Toronto branches into one event, the Red Bull Music Festival. Motivated by this new scope, Red Bull Music and Baillat Studio continued their collaboration to create a strong identity for the festival around the idea of union; of artists, musical genres, audiences and city.

With this in mind, the studio took a collaborative approach by working with an amazing selection of artists including 3D artist Aaron Kaufman, photographers Nik Mirus, John Londono and Benoit Paillé, and multidisciplinary artist Jen Mann. The result is a campaign that showcases and embraces the eclecticism of the Red Bull Music Festival.

Bringing together the Montreal and Toronto editions of the Festival, the 2018 campaign came with the challenge of defining the greater identity of the Red Bull Music Festival, but also keeping the essence of the music and art scenes of the two cities.

Collaboration with local artists was an obvious choice. It is through the energy of the campaign, and the repetition of key graphic elements, that the two cities and their twelve shows live.
